We offer three ways to book an appointment with Missy and/or Corina: online, phone, or email. 

If you notice there is no availability for the day you would like, the online system will take you to the next available day. 

Usually 3-5 days in advance is needed to book your appointment. Weekends tend to book up faster than week days. Plan ahead accordingly!

*When booking online, please make sure you completely finish  booking and receive your confirmation email. No email means you didn’t complete the process and you will NOT have an appointment for the day and time you selected. 

At Black Lotus we pierce 16 years of age and older. 

We advise against getting a piercing if you are actively involved in sports, dance, gymnastics, etc…for more information about this, please email our piercers at blacklotustat2@gmail.com

Industrial, tongue, nipples, and genital piercings will NOT be performed on anyone under the age of 18 for any reason.

For anyone under the age of 18, we require the original birth certificate or documentation proving legal guardianship, photo ID of the minor (state ID or school ID, for example) and a valid driver's license of the parent or guardian on the birth certificate/legal guardianship paperwork that is accompanying the minor to their appointment.  

The piercing fee is $50. The cost of jewelry is an additional fee. 

All the jewelry we use is implant grade ASTM F-136 titanium, ASTM F-138 Steel, 14k or 18k gold, most with genuine gemstones, we do have few synthetic stone options available. Due to these variants, it can be impossible to give pricing over the phone, email, or when booking. 

When you come in for your piercing appointment, Missy and Corina will go over all the options you will have based on your anatomy and budget to find the perfect piece for you!

****The piercing department only accepts credit cards as a form of payment****

Healing times vary per person. Just like no two people are the same, no two healing experiences are the same. Most piercings take anywhere from six months to one year or longer to heal. If you have questions, ask Missy or Corina at your appointment and they can go over this with you more in-depth.

We do not take walk-in appointments. We are an appointment only studio and you can book your appointment by clicking here, calling, or emailing blacklotustat@gmail.com to book! 

Deposits secure your appointment for both you and the piercer. It holds your appointment space and covers the cost of your piercing fee; you will still have to buy your jewelry at the time of your appointment.

It ensures the piercer won’t be turning away a potential client that may call and want to come in that day since we know you are serious about coming in for your piercing appointment. 

Deposits are non-refundable. All new piercing appointments require a $50 non-refundable deposit. Ear and Facial Curations require a $100 deposit.

Your appointment is not secured until you have placed  your deposit. If you decide not to get pierced the deposit will remain on file for any future piercings or purchases. Check ups, jewelry changes, and jewelry sales do not require a deposit, but still require an appointment.

Yes! Every piercing service at Black Lotus requires an appointment! 

Why? 

All the jewelry we use is fitted to your anatomy! There is no “one size fits all” because none of us are all one size! All the jewelry we carry needs to be fitted and sterilized before being installed or leaving the studio. This takes time. Our machines are top of the line, we can now sterilize jewelry in 15-20 minutes, which is great but after shopping, sizing, and sterilizing, we’ve used about 30 minutes of time, that’s a whole appointment! 

Please book a jewelry consultation and sale appointment if you would like to purchase jewelry to insure we have enough time to find your perfect piece! 

We absolutely take custom orders! Please email us at blackloutstat2@gmail.com to start the process. 

Please include the name of the piece, the gold color, stones choices, and sizing. If you are unsure about some of those things, that’s okay!

Missy and Corina can help guide you to the best options that fit you! Please keep in mind, each piece is made to order and can take some time to be made and arrive. Missy and Corina may also need you to come into the studio for measurements, with this being a custom piece, it will be perfectly tailored to you and your anatomy! 

At this time, we do not. Our jewelry moves so quickly that it would be impossible to keep the store up-to-date for our clients. If you would like to order a piece, please reach out to us at blacklotustat2@gmail.com to start the ordering process. 

You are more than welcome to come and look around the studio and at the jewelry, but without an appointment, Missy and Corina will be unable to help you, answer questions regarding pricing, or pull any pieces for you as they are with other clients. Due to the fast turnaround time of our jewelry we recommend waiting for your appointment or placing a custom order to insure you get the exact piece you wanted for your piercing. We are constantly changing the jewelry in the studio to keep things exciting and fun for new and returning clients. We typically do not work with outside jewelry. All the jewelry we work with comes with certifications and guarantees regarding the material and stone authenticity. We are also part of the Association of Professional Piercers which holds us to very strict guidelines to jewelry quality. However, there are exceptions to the rule. Absolutely! We love when friends and moral support come along to appointments; but, please understand, they may not always be allowed into the actual piercing room and may have to wait in the lobby due to limited space in the piercing rooms. 

Unfortunately, your appointment is for you and only you! If your friend(s) would like to get a piercing or piercing service, they will need their own appointment. If you have a special request, you can always email us at blacklotustat2@gmail.com and we will try our best to accommodate  

Piercing bumps can happen to anyone, for many different reasons. Sometimes it could be because your piercing got hit or maybe it keeps getting slept on. We recommend setting up an appointment with Missy or Corina so they can take a look at your piercing and see what may be going on. Avoid advice from the internet about making homemade oil remedies, pastes, or creams as they often do more harm than good. 

Unfortunately, if you are pregnant, we cannot pierce you.

We recommend waiting a minimum of 4-6 months after you've stop breastfeeding before being pierced.

Downsizing is a shortening of your initial jewelry backing to one that is more fitted to your anatomy after swelling has gone down. 

This helps prevent your piercing from having too much movement, shifting angles, getting caught or snagged on hair, clothing, teeth and gums, etc... not all piercings will require downsizing and the timing can vary from person to person. 

During your first check-up appointment Missy and Corina will let you know if they feel your piercing is ready for downsize or not.  

Unfortunately, we cannot pierce you if you have applied any type of numbing cream. 

Numbing creams can alter and distort the tissue we will be piercing, which can cause complications to your piercing; such as having the piercing sit at a bad angle because of the distortion the cream caused. It can also cause excess swelling.

 If you come into your appointment with numbing cream on, we will be forced to reschedule your appointment to a later date.  

We recommend waiting 8-12 weeks, sometimes longer depending on how your piercing is healing, before swimming in pools, lakes, oceans, or hot tubs. The chemicals and bacteria in both treated and natural sources of water can lead to infections and complications with your fresh piercing.  

 It is recommended that you wait until you get back from that awesome vacation you have been so excited to go on! Most activities on vacation include swimming, beach going, hiking, sweating, etc.…none of these things are good for a brand new piercing! GO ENJOY THAT VACATION!!! YOU EARNED IT!! Missy and Corina will be here when you get back, ready to get you all fancy!

If you are coming from out of town, please let us know! We see many, many people from out of town and we will make slight adjustments to jewelry lengths to accommodate for traveling and also be able to find a piercer closer to you once you return home, this will leave you in the best hands when you can’t be with us for downsizing, check-ups, and troubleshooting. 

It is recommended that you wait a minimum of one year before re-piercing your earlobes. If you have questions, it is best to set up an appointment with Missy or Corina so they can have an in person consultation; as each situation regarding reconstruction can be slightly different. 

Hoops are so great! We love them...but…new piercings don’t love them so much! 

When piercing with a hoop, we can’t start out with those cute little huggie hoops everyone wants! Those are best left for healed piercings; fresh piercings need room to swell which means a large diameter hoop and usually a thicker hoop for more stability is advised. Hoops also rotate, A LOT! They can spin and spin which can really irritate a fresh piercing. 

We start piercings out with a stud, except for Daiths and Septums, and graduate to a hoop once your piercing heals.   

YES! Missy and Corina do offer tandem piercings for nipples and earlobes. Please each out to us to book these appointments so we can coordinate their schedules accordingly.
